In addition to Tanya, the first Klassic Pack contains alternate costumes for three Mortal Kombat X characters: Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, and Kano. Over the past few weeks, most of Tanya's fatalities and brutalities - including one called Edenian Drill, in which Tanya rips her opponent's heart out so quickly that the victim has time to ponder the hole left in his or her chest - leaked online, while a brief trailer spotlighted her updated costume.
Tanya first appeared in Mortal Kombat 4 as a hero, although she made a heel turn in Mortal Kombat: Deception, the sixth installment in the series, and has since become one of Jade's primary rivals. Boon's tweet didn't mention any pricing details, but Mortal Kombat X's last DLC offering, the Horror Pack, cost $7.99 expect the Klassic Pack #1 to cost about the same.
That doesn't come as much of a surprise - just yesterday, series creator Ed Boon revealed that Tanya would hit in early June - but now it's official: the Klassic Pack will be available on June 2 for players who purchased Mortal Kombat X's Kombat Pack (essentially, the game's season pass), and June 9 for everyone else.
While this morning's news wasn't great for Mortal Kombat fans stuck with last-generation consoles, other Mortal Kombat X players can finally stop holding their breath: fan-favorite character Tanya and the Klassic Pack #1 DLC will arrive a week from today.
